Our Plan

As vital and active members of the Diocese of Camden wishing to make our contribution, we are beginning the “Catholic Strong Campaign” to provide the resources needed to strengthen our parishes and Catholic education, expand our outreach, and enhance our social services.  A successful campaign will ensure the vitality of our faith communities and ultimately meet the evolving needs of our Diocese.   Our inspiration is no different from that of the early disciples, “The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common.  With great power the apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all.” Acts 4:32-33

 

Our Church’s target goal is to raise a minimum of $1,275,000 of which we will receive 70% (or a minimum of $892,500) that will go towards parish needs.  Additionally, we will receive 80% of all funds raised over our parish target.  We will use our share to address the following needs:

 

  • Church/Aquin/Ground Upgrades $680,000
    • Repainting of church interior ($15,000)
    • Upgrade all Church lights to LED ($35,000)
    • Upgrade and remodel Sacristy, add tile, removal of damaged wall paper and paint ($5,000)
    • Extend the lobby area of the Church, both forwards up to the curb and 15 feet to each side ($250,000)
    • Add WIFI to Church and Professional Camera to Live Stream Masses for our homebound, those in nursing homes and or hospitals. ($5,000)
    • Upgrade Our Lady of Lourdes Statue to build Grotto area ($75,000)
    • Repaving and development of Prayer Gardens ($25,000)
    • Mulching of parish grounds-tree removal – right side of Church as you enter facilities ($25,000)
    • Rectory roof replacement ($15,000)
    • Aquin Hall roof repair\replacement ($200,000)
    • Repair and upgrade kitchen area in Aquin ($10,000)
    • Rectory Front steps repaved and garage doors ($10,000)
    • Repair-Replace Church Kneelers ($10,000)

 

  • Audio/Visual Upgrades $58,000
    • Address audio/visual needs in Aquin Hall ($18,000)
    • Install televisions in every classroom ($5,000)
    • IT upgrades i.e. phone, computers, networking ($35,000)

 

  • Security Improvements $35,000
    • Enhance security by installing cameras and locks.
    • Install intercoms in buildings to enhance communication

 

  • Music Ministry $20,000
    • Enhance music in preparation for Christmas, Easter and other events

 

  • Evangelization and Stewardship $60,000
    • For Parish evangelization: Support programs, retreats, and pilgrimages

 

Total = 853,000 giving us 39,500 for any adjustments to costs

 

I know we have that same power at Holy Family, just as did the early Church.  I have recognized this in your love of our parish community.   While our needs are significant, I am confident that our parish family is prepared to lend generous support.  The “Catholic Strong Campaign” will enable our parish to complete the vision set forth by past generations and ensure the church’s presence in the lives of our children and grandchildren.  As we have been blessed, let us act as good stewards by supporting the campaign.  Let us continue to show the power which blessed the first apostles to our parish and diocese.   Your prayers, generosity, and sacrifice will ensure our success.
