We are all excited for the Holy Father’s visit to our area. I know there are plenty of you who wish to be present at one or more of the events scheduled to take place in Philadelphia on Saturday September 26th and Sunday September 27th. I can confirm that Holy Family has received 3 tickets for the Papal Mass which will take place at 4pm on Sunday September 27th. We have received 3 tickets for the Festival of Families which will take place on Saturday afternoon and evening along the Parkway (all day event, hosts and performers include Mark Whalberg, Aretha Franklin and Andrea Bocelli). We also have two tickets for the Holy Father’s Speech which will take place at Independence Hall on Saturday September 26th at 4:45pm (please check World Meeting of Families Website for exact times, details, guideline and procedures, http://www.worldmeeting2015.org/)
Holy Family will raffle off all three sets of tickets, one winner will receive all three tickets to the Papal Mass, one winner will receive all three tickets to the Festival of Families, and one winner will receive both tickets to the Holy Father’s Speech at Independence Hall.
If you wish to be considered for any of the tickets you must call the parish office Monday 9am to 4pm and give us your name and phone #. You must be a registered parishioner before today 9-18-15. On Tuesday we will draw the winners. We will pick in this order, 1) Papal Mass Tickets, 2) Festival of Families Tickets, 3) Independence Hall tickets. We will inform the winner which tickets they won. If any of the winners refuse to take the tickets which they won, we will pick an alternate until someone chooses the tickets. Please do not ask for which tickets you wish to be considered for, if you win tickets you do not want, we are sure someone else may want them. Please do not call the office until 9am Monday morning, also no emails will be accepted. No phone messages prior to 9am or after 4pm will be accepted, no exceptions.
For those of you not attending any of the events in Philadelphia please remember we are holding a multicultural dinner at the Parish Center beginning at 3pm on Sunday Sept. 27th, and we will watch the Papal Mass live on the big screen beginning at 4pm. Please call the Parish office to let us know what you are bringing, thanks and God bless you and please pray for Pope Francis.
