Hugh Ward Memorial Scholarship

Hugh Ward Memorial Scholarship

The Hugh Ward Memorial Scholarship is being offered in memory of Hugh Ward and his dedication, commitment, and contributions to the field of education.  Mr. Ward was a college professor and taught philosophy at Glassboro State, now Rowan University.  Holy Family Parish is grateful to the entire Ward family for this generous opportunity to be given to one of our parishioners.

The Scholarship will be a one-time donation of $500.00 to any “active student parishioner” based on financial need to be determined by the pastor.  The scholarship is open to any high school senior planning to enroll either at Rowan University or Gloucester County Community College.  The scholarship is also open to any “active student parishioner” who is already enrolled at Rowan University or Gloucester County Community College.

Please submit to Fr. John Picinic a 500 word essay on why you should be considered to receive this scholarship and also include the financial need for you and your family.  The essays will be reviewed by the clerics (Fr. John, Fr. Sanjai, Deacon Jerry and Deacon Joe) and the recipient will be notified by Fr. John. All applications are due not later than April 30th 2015.

Please email Fr. John at jpicinic@churchoftheholyfamily.org
