Justice for All Award Dinner

Justice for All Award Dinner

This September while the eyes of the world will be on our region as Pope Francis makes his historic visit to Philadelphia; the eyes of Catholics and non-Catholics alike in the Diocese of Camden will be on how the vision of Pope Francis is lived out every day in the “arguably” poorest city in America and our six southern counties of New Jersey.

This year the Diocese will celebrate our 12th annual Justice For ALL Dinner on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Adelphia Grand Ballroom in Deptford.  That evening we will honor both an organization and an individual who are making a difference in the lives of the poor, the homeless, and the disenfranchised here in our diocese. This year’s awardees are living the words of Pope Francis and I believe you’ll find them both inspiring and deserving of the 2015 Justice in ACTION Awards:

  • The Camden County Police Department under the leadership of Chief Scott Thomson is this year’s recipient of the Organizational ACTION Award.
  • Sister Graciela Rosas-Mendivil, MDPVM of Cumberland County is this year’s recipient of the Individual ACTION Award.

Since its inception in 2004, thanks to the generous support of sponsors like you, the dinner has raised more than $640,000, every penny of which is put towards direct assistance for those we serve; those who live on the margins and struggle with the stress of poverty every day.  In other words, your support of this event helps to sow hope for more than 1,800 individuals yearly.
