Welcome Father Alfred

I am happy to announce that Bishop Sullivan has appointed Father Alfred Onyutha as our new Parochial Vicar, he will begin his assignment at Holy Family on Monday August, 3rd.

Father Alfred is from Uganda, he was born on 8/14/1959. He was ordained on May 26th 1990 by Bishop Frederick Drandua for the Diocese of Nebbi.

Father comes from a large family; he is one of ten children, two siblings passed away while very young. His mother, Seraphina Osutho resides in Uganda, his father, Andreano Onyutha passed away last year on June 22.

Father’s assignments since ordination have included:

In Uganda my home Diocese of Nebbi as a Priest for 15 Years in 4 different Parishes.
Came to USA in Sept. 1st 2005 and had the following assignments:

  • St. Joseph Somers Point 4 Years as Parochial Vicar.
  • Infant Jesus Parish, Woodbury Heights, 3 Years as Parochial Vicar.
  • Resident at Holy Angels, Woodbury and Catholic Chaplain at Underwood Memorial now INSPIRA Hospital, 3           years. And soon to be Holy Family in Sewell.

His favorite Sport is soccer; watching and playing. He loves going to the gym too (LA FITNESS).

Father looks forward to working with Holy Family which happens to be the name of his home Parish in Uganda.
